Limerick Lane Winery: Tasting and Insights From Winemaker, Jake Bilbro
Jake Bilbro, owner of Limerick Lane, is an absolute incredible man. When Jake purchased the 106-year old vineyard out of foreclosure, he was determined to make extraordinary wine. Under his dictation, he did just that. With accolades including Wine Spectator magazine’s Top 100 Wines of 2015 and wines consistently scoring over 90 points, he has proven to be one hell of a wine maker and we couldn't agree more! We had the opportunity to hang with Jake, sip and talk about his wines, chat about his love and passion for zinfandel and rosé and how he is the ultimate family man!

When you think about Sonoma you generally think about Cabernet, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. However, at Limerick Lanes, Jake is known for his Zinfandel and Rhone Varietals. The wines are full-bodied and with flavors of black fruit and wet stone with striking acidity. The Zinfandel was planted 110 years ago and they only focus on what they grow! It truly is a unique vineyard!
LESS IS MORE!
One of the things that really resonates with us about Limerick Lane is their approach to farming. They believe in having as little intervention in the wine making process as possible. Meaning, they believe that the land and the elements will create the wine in a way that it is intended to. Mother Nature is, in fact, the greatest wine maker of the all.
